In order to attend the Career Day at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, the attendee must have read and understood the conditions below, and sign on the final page of this form. If the attendee is under 18, both the attendee and the parent/guardian must read, understand and sign the form. There is some additional information that also needs to be completed within this form. If the form is not completed fully, it may not be possible to attend the Career Day.

 

The information which you provide on this form will be held by us in accordance with our privacy policy.

 

is permitted to attend the Career Day and will have access to selected animals/enclosures onsite as pre-arranged by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL).

Running Times: 10.00am – 4.30pm

 

I, the attendee and the parent/guardian (if attendee is under 18), consent to the following conditions and the attendee has agreed to adhere to them.

 

  1. The attendee has been granted permission to take part in the Career Day event at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo (“Premises”), on the date above. The attendee will be unaccompanied at lunch time and at the end of the day before the zoo shuts (if the attendee chooses to explore alone). The attendee agrees to behave in an appropriate manner at all times, including when unaccompanied.
  2. The attendee is allowed onto the Premises, and into non-public areas at their own risk.
  3. The attendee is allowed into the selected animal enclosures being fully aware of, and accepting the hazards, risks and control measures that may be associated with doing so.
  4. The attendee accepts that ZSL staff have full authority at all times.
  5. The attendee agrees to take the utmost care at all times. Any animal can be dangerous and they must do only what they are instructed to do by the ZSL staff supervising the activity.
  6. The attendee will not attempt to cross any barriers, climb any buildings or enter any area unless it is with a member of ZSL staff and has permission to do so.
  7. The attendee will make no attempt to rouse, touch, feed or otherwise make contact with animals without ZSL’s staff permission and supervision.
  8. The attendee will adhere to all safety rules and procedures at all times. Each attendee will be given a briefing on Health and Safety issues on arrival and briefed on emergency procedures, with which they should make themselves familiar.
  9. The attendee will observe any reasonable instructions given by ZSL, it’s staff or volunteers with respect to health and safety, security, zoo licensing and/or animal welfare anywhere on the Premises, and will follow the relevant ZSL policies when on the Premises.
  10. ZSL shall not be liable for any claim in respect of the injury or death of the attendee, save to the extent that death or injury is due to the negligence of ZSL or its staff.
  11. ZSL shall not be liable for any claim in respect of loss or damage to any of the attendee’s property while on the Premises.
  12. The attendee will notify ZSL of any learning difficulty and/or medical conditions which might be aggravated by the activities, environment or animals, or which staff should be aware of in case of emergency.

Images consent

I consent to the images of the above attendee being used for marketing and publicity related purposes and I understand that they may be published on the ZSL website, social media channels, broadcast media, publications and relevant marketing activity in the UK.
 

I understand that:

  • the Images, and any other data will be held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation
  • the Images captured will be the copyright of ZSL and any other intellectual property which arises in the recordings will also belong to ZSL
  • ZSL will securely store copies of the Images for as long as necessary to fulfil the specified purposes and they may store my contact details on the database in case they need to contact me about my consent
  • the images may be shared with Bloomberg
  • I hereby agree to irrevocably assign all property rights in the Images to ZSL
  • I hereby agree to waive all moral rights in the Images to the ZSL
  • I can withdraw my consent at any time, in which case the Images will not be used in future publications but may continue to appear in publications already in circulation

Notification of any Learning Difficulty and/or Medical Conditions

The attendee will notify ZSL of any learning difficulty and/or medical conditions which might be aggravated by the activities, environment or animals, or which staff should be aware of in case of emergency.
