I, the attendee and the parent/guardian (if attendee is under 18), consent to the following conditions and the attendee has agreed to adhere to them.

1. The attendee has been granted permission to take part in the Career Day event at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo (“Premises”), on the date above. The attendee will be unaccompanied at lunch time and at the end of the day before the zoo shuts (if the attendee chooses to explore alone). The attendee agrees to behave in an appropriate manner at all times, including when unaccompanied.
2. The attendee is allowed onto the Premises, and into non-public areas at their own risk.
3. The attendee is allowed into the selected animal enclosures being fully aware of, and accepting the hazards, risks and control measures that may be associated with doing so.
4. The attendee accepts that ZSL staff have full authority at all times.
5. The attendee agrees to take the utmost care at all times. Any animal can be dangerous and they must do only what they are instructed to do by the ZSL staff supervising the activity.
6. The attendee will not attempt to cross any barriers, climb any buildings or enter any area unless it is with a member of ZSL staff and has permission to do so.
7. The attendee will make no attempt to rouse, touch, feed or otherwise make contact with animals without ZSL’s staff permission and supervision.
8. The attendee will adhere to all safety rules and procedures at all times. Each attendee will be given a briefing on Health and Safety issues on arrival and briefed on emergency procedures, with which they should make themselves familiar.
9. The attendee will observe any reasonable instructions given by ZSL, it’s staff or volunteers with respect to health and safety, security, zoo licensing and/or animal welfare anywhere on the Premises, and will follow the relevant ZSL policies when on the Premises.
10. ZSL shall not be liable for any claim in respect of the injury or death of the attendee, save to the extent that death or injury is due to the negligence of ZSL or its staff.
11. ZSL shall not be liable for any claim in respect of loss or damage to any of the attendee’s property while on the Premises.
12. The attendee will notify ZSL of any learning difficulty and/or medical conditions which might be aggravated by the activities, environment or animals, or which staff should be aware of in case of emergency.
